We create interactive experiences that engage your teams, clients, and leaders in a unique and memorable way. We produce events featuring acclaimed authors of new books on the most timely, thought-provoking topics.

Create a World-Class Work Environment

Professional development and team building are essential to cultivating your company’s most valuable asset—your employees. New ideas can change the way your employees approach problem-solving and improve productivity. Create a world-class work environment by offering employees a way to network with colleagues while sharpening their critical thinking skills.

Bring authors of new books to your organization and learn directly from the source! Taking Care of Business Books enables organizations to host interactive, shared learning experiences through conversations with authors of new, nonfiction books.

More cost-effective and memorable than typical training, invest in continuous learning for your team.

How It Works

Use our Know Ahead List as a guide to choose the authors and/or topics that align with what you want to bring to your organization. We will help you every step of the way in creating a book event or author series that fits the goals and directives of your company or agency. Taking Care of Business Books is happy to work with you to find the perfect topic for your group.

Books can be delivered to a single office location or multiple locations, or participants can receive a redemption code and have their books shipped directly to them at no additional cost.

Whether it is an in-person event or a virtual event, we will manage the event with you and the author. For virtual events, this includes a pre-event practice call with the author to prepare specific content and technology needs for your audience.

About Us

Taking Care of Business Books infuses innovative thinking into organizations through interactive book and author programs. We provide enriching professional development and client events for corporations, U.S. government agencies, and non-profit associations.

Engage your employees and constituents by bringing our authors to your office — thought leaders and New York Times’ bestselling writers who have penned books about current events and trends such as work/life balance, leadership, economics, coaching, management, and more.

Taking Care of Business” isn’t just a nod to Tupelo’s most famous son, Elvis Presley — it’s our promise. We help organizations take care of business by curating powerful books and connecting you with the authors who inspire change. From leadership and innovation to culture and collaboration, we deliver ideas that spark growth and keep your teams thriving.

Niki Coffman delights in building relationships between authors, readers, and the community. A graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course and publishing industry veteran, she’s worked in books for her entire professional career. For almost a decade, she served as the Director of Events at Parnassus Books, where she oversaw a calendar of nearly 400 events per year. Since relocating to Tupelo, Mississippi in 2020, Niki, her husband, and their young son proudly call Elvis’ birthplace their home.

Ginger Nalley has spent more than 20 years in the book industry. She joined the Parnassus Books family in 2015, and was a 13 year veteran of Davis-Kidd Booksellers. She is thrilled to be back in the book business after spending three years working as a librarian in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she lives with her family. She serves the community there as the market manager for the SOKY Farmer’s Market and operates a hobby farm called Fable Stables that is home to goats, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats.
